Maria’s parents, medical professionals, brought her to the Casa in 2003 shortly after she was diagnosed Spina Bifuda and Karie Syndrome. Her parents were determined to “leave no stone unturned and search the world for help for their daughter”. They refused to believe her dismal prognosis of never walking again and never regaining control of her bladder.
While she had many complications the Entity said he would be able to help her: on their first visit the Entity placed his hand on her leg, her femur was broken, saying it would take time but he would help her. She returned to Greece to have the bone re-set and her doctors were amazed when they saw her x-ray: the bone was straightened and completely healed. Her parents were asked ‘which doctor did this work?’ and her parents told them of her trip to John of God, saying her leg was healed by the Entities.
Maria's parents continued to follow the Entities’ directions and continued with western medicine. The Entities explained that the two worked hand in hand. Maria walks with a slight limp with small braces on her legs and she told Heather, "these will soon be gone!" Maria visits the Casa twice a year and continues her treatment. Her Karie syndrome is completely cured and she has complete control of her bowel and bladder function. She says, “I love the Entities and Medium João and wish all children in need, or who are ill, can have the opportunity to come to the Casa and be with the Entities”.
This photo was taken in February 2007. Maria is delighted to be of service by pouring blessed water in cups for those in the current rooms. She sits in current every day throughout her stay. We love you Maria, and we salute your parents and sister for their
