Beloved friends,
A recent incident in Abadiânia has led many of us in the community to re-evaluate safety precautions at our pousadas. As a result, I have increased security at the Villa Verde: a state of the art security system was installed that consists of high tech security doors, surveillance cameras, and two permanent night watchmen. I have also employed a licensed and highly reputable bus service for transportation and guided tours outside of Abadiânia. I believe these improvements are practical and realistic and in no way detract from the convivial and spiritual atmosphere at the Villa Verde. The increase in my tour rates reflects the costs I have incurred in taking these preventative measures. (Click here for details of May 2004 robbery and personal accounts from group participants)

Dear Friend,
It is my pleasure to invite you to join me on a Healing Quest to John of God. I was born in Brazil and raised on a cattle ranch my father managed that was about 200 miles from the Casa, so I am very familiar with the area and its people, and fluent in Portuguese. When I visited the Casa for the first time I received a healing and witnessed first hand the miracles of the spirit entities and the love and Divine energy that flows through John of God.
During that visit I also requested and was granted permission from John of God to bring groups to him and was given a special initiation to ready me for this work. In so many ways my entire path through life has prepared me for the role of Quest facilitator and I am dedicated to assisting you in making your trip to John of God the best possible experience.
There are several advantages to joining Healing Quests. Rest assured that I will be there to translate for you and help you every step of the way. This is not a hiking/sight seeing vacation but rather rest, meditation and rejuvenation with gifts to all of us of huge blessings from the Entities, from the exquisite land that supports and hosts us and the gentle and delightful community of the Casa and Abadiânia. Every consideration will be extended to you as part of my group. I have excellent relationships with Medium João, his assistant Sebastião and the Casa staff and volunteers. There is also fun and meaningful interaction to be had with other group members who are seekers like yourself. Since practical logistics are completely handled your stay will be comfortable and relaxing, giving you a chance to move deeply into your own healing and renewal. My background as a healer allows me to prepare and guide you through the Casa experience with sensitivity and understanding. You will also enjoy Brazil in a special way as I share with you the love and knowledge I have for the natural and cultural features of my homeland.
